MD — Single Family Office

JOlivier & Partners is conducting a retained search for an MD for a Barcelona-based single family office managing the investments and business interests of a prominent Catalan industrial dynasty with combined assets of €1.8bn.

The Organisation & Context

The family office is undergoing a professionalisation of its governance and investment management processes ahead of a generational transition. The MD will coordinate investment management, business oversight and family governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary executive representative of the family
• Coordinate the investment management function across asset classes
• Oversee 4 operating businesses with combined revenues of €340m
• Develop and implement the family governance framework
• Manage relationships with external advisors

Candidate Profile

• MD, CIO or CEO in a family office, private bank or investment management context
• Deep investment expertise across asset classes
• Discretion, integrity and ability to navigate complex family dynamics
• Track record of professionalising investment management
• Fluent Spanish and English required
