CFO — Real Estate Investment Manager

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a CFO for a leading alternative real estate investment manager in New York overseeing $18bn in AuM across value-add and opportunistic strategies.

The Organisation & Context

Our client is an SEC-registered investment adviser with $18bn across closed-end and open-end real estate funds. The firm is in active fundraising for Fund VI and expanding its investor base in Europe and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial reporting, fund administration and tax for $18bn AuM
• Manage relationships with external auditors and SEC
• Support Fund VI fundraising — financial due diligence materials
• Oversee CFO functions of 12 portfolio companies
• Build and lead a finance team of 45

Candidate Profile

• CFO or Controller at an alternative asset manager or real estate firm
• Deep knowledge of fund accounting and ILPA reporting
• Experience with SEC registration and investment adviser compliance
• CPA required
