Role Overview

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a CFO for a leading alternative real estate investment manager in New York overseeing $18bn in AuM across value-add and opportunistic strategies.

The Organisation & Context

Our client is an SEC-registered investment adviser with $18bn across closed-end and open-end real estate funds. The firm is in active fundraising for Fund VI and expanding its investor base in Europe and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all financial reporting, fund administration and tax for $18bn AuM
Manage relationships with external auditors and SEC
Support Fund VI fundraising — financial due diligence materials
Oversee CFO functions of 12 portfolio companies
Build and lead a finance team of 45

Candidate Profile

CFO or Controller at an alternative asset manager or real estate firm
Deep knowledge of fund accounting and ILPA reporting
Experience with SEC registration and investment adviser compliance
CPA required
