Our leadership advisory practice operates across four domains: executive assessment, board effectiveness, leadership team development and individual executive coaching. These services are available as extensions of our retained search work and as standalone advisory engagements.
Our Leadership Advisory Capabilities
Executive Assessment. We assess senior leaders against specific role requirements — using structured interviewing, psychometric tools and thorough referencing to provide boards and CEOs with an objective, evidence-based picture of a candidate’s or leader’s capabilities and development areas. Our assessments are used in hiring decisions, succession planning and leadership development contexts.
Board Effectiveness. We help boards evaluate their collective performance — examining the quality of strategic oversight, the effectiveness of board dynamics, the rigour of governance processes and the alignment between board capability and the organisation’s future requirements. Our board effectiveness work produces practical recommendations, not theoretical frameworks.
Leadership Team Development. Leadership teams that function well collectively outperform teams of high-performing individuals who operate independently. We work with executive teams at critical moments — a new CEO building their team, a leadership group navigating significant strategic change, a team that has grown rapidly and needs to recalibrate how it works together. Our approach is direct and commercially grounded.
Executive Coaching. We provide one-to-one coaching support for senior executives navigating specific leadership challenges — a first CEO role, a complex stakeholder environment, a performance challenge in a specific domain, or the development of a particular leadership capability. Our coaches have direct senior executive experience in the roles they work with — which is the foundation of credibility in this context.
