Role Overview

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a new CEO for a QCB-regulated financial services institution with assets of QAR 28bn, to lead a 5-year strategic transformation.

The Organisation & Context

Our client is a Doha-based financial services institution with operations across Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. The board has approved an ambitious strategy to transform the institution from a traditional provider into a technology-enabled, regionally diversified financial group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the executive team and 5-year strategic transformation
  • Drive revenue diversification and grow fee income
  • Execute the regional expansion strategy in Kuwait and Bahrain
  • Manage relationships with the Qatar Central Bank
  • Represent the institution at senior government and industry levels

Candidate Profile

  • CEO or Deputy CEO at a bank or regulated financial services group
  • Track record of leading strategic transformation in financial services
  • Experience operating in the GCC regulatory environment
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • Fluent English; Arabic an advantage
