Role Overview

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a CMO for a QCB-licensed digital bank preparing for commercial launch with $180m in Series B funding, targeting 500,000 accounts in Year 1.

The Organisation & Context

Our client is a founding executive role — the CMO will build the bank's brand identity, growth marketing and customer acquisition strategy from the ground up across Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the brand identity and positioning for the digital bank's commercial launch
  • Build and execute the customer acquisition strategy — 500,000 accounts in Year 1
  • Lead digital marketing, social media and content strategy across GCC markets
  • Develop the SME acquisition programme
  • Build a marketing function of 18 from the ground up

Candidate Profile

  • CMO or VP Marketing at a digital bank, neo-bank or consumer FinTech
  • Track record of launching and scaling a financial services brand
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing and CRM for financial services
  • Experience in or knowledge of GCC consumer market
  • Fluent English; Arabic an advantage
