Role Overview

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a CHRO for a leading Qatari sovereign fund, leading HR for 1,200 investment and operations professionals and designing the talent strategy to compete with top-tier global asset managers.

The Organisation & Context

Our client has global assets exceeding $400bn and is expanding its direct investment capability and building a deeper in-house investment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the talent strategy for 1,200 investment professionals
  • Lead recruiting for senior investment positions from top-tier global asset managers
  • Design performance management and compensation frameworks
  • Develop the employee value proposition to compete with global tier-1 firms
  • Manage Qatarisation requirements and develop local investment talent

Candidate Profile

  • CHRO at a sovereign wealth fund, leading asset manager or top-tier investment bank
  • Track record of recruiting and retaining investment talent
  • Understanding of professional development for investment professionals
  • Experience managing nationalisation requirements in the GCC
  • Fluent English; Arabic an advantage
