HR Director France — International Insurance Group

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify the HR Director France of a leading international insurance group.

Reporting to the Country Manager and a member of the Executive Committee, the HR Director will position HR as a true strategic partner to the business.

Following a recent evolution of its governance and strategic positioning, the Group has launched an ambitious transformation to strengthen its performance culture and customer focus, in a technological and commercial environment undergoing deep change. Operating in a European matrix, it combines growth ambitions with evolving management practices and a high standard of execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HR for a perimeter of around 250 employees.
• Define and orchestrate the HR strategy in close alignment with business priorities.
• Support leadership through rapid and demanding transformation.
• Manage a complex social agenda: works council (CSE), collective bargaining and social climate.
• Build a structured and constructive social dialogue.
• Secure employment law matters and ensure compliance in a sensitive environment.
• Deploy HR initiatives in coordination with the European team.
• Act as a strategic adviser, combining perspective with operational execution.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as HR Director in international, matrix environments.
• In-depth expertise in employee relations, including in demanding or sensitive contexts.
• At ease with rapid transformation and cultural change.
• Strong business and performance orientation.
• Assertive leadership and the ability to hold positions under pressure.
• Strategic and hands-on approach, with rigour and organisation.
• Fluent English is essential.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary for this position is €115,000–125,000 per year, plus a bonus. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience and track record.
