Role Overview

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a CTO for a Dubai government-backed smart city platform, defining the technology strategy for one of the world's most ambitious urban technology programmes.

The Organisation & Context

Our client is a government-owned technology platform responsible for the digital infrastructure of a major new urban development in Dubai — a planned community of 250,000 residents.

Key Responsibilities

— Define the technology architecture and platform strategy for the smart city deployment
— Lead a technology organisation of 120 engineers and data scientists
— Oversee deployment of IoT, AI and data analytics platforms
— Manage technology vendor relationships
— Represent the platform at international smart city forums

Candidate Profile

— CTO or technology leadership in smart city, telecom or government technology
— Deep expertise in IoT architecture, data platforms and AI-powered operational systems
— Track record of large-scale technology infrastructure programmes
— Experience working with government clients
