Role Overview

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a COO for a Antwerp-based e-commerce logistics platform that has become one of Central Europe's leading last-mile delivery operators with 8,000 delivery partners and 24 sortation centres.

The Organisation & Context

Our client is a PE-backed company with operations across Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Following revenues tripling over 3 years, the business needs a COO capable of bringing operational rigour to a rapidly expanding infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own all operational performance across 24 sortation centres
  • Define and implement the operational excellence programme
  • Lead the technology and automation investment roadmap
  • Manage a direct team of 8 operational leaders across 4 countries
  • Work closely with CEO and PE sponsor on value creation plan

Candidate Profile

  • COO or Operations Director in logistics, e-commerce fulfilment or postal operator
  • Track record of operational transformation in high-growth logistics
  • Experience with automation, WMS and routing technology
  • Central European market knowledge
