Role Overview

JOlivier & Partners has been retained to identify a CMO for a leading Qatari retail group operating 60 international brand franchises and 3 proprietary concepts across Qatar and the GCC.

The Organisation & Context

Our client operates 280 points of sale across Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, investing significantly in digital commerce and CRM to build direct customer relationships beyond the franchise model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute marketing strategy across 60 brand franchises
  • Lead digital commerce and CRM transformation
  • Manage relationships with international franchise principals
  • Develop proprietary brand marketing capability
  • Oversee a marketing team of 45 and budget of $35m

Candidate Profile

  • CMO or Marketing Director at a retail group or franchise operator
  • Track record of digital commerce and CRM transformation in retail
  • Experience managing multi-brand portfolio marketing
  • GCC market knowledge and understanding of Gulf consumer behaviour
  • Fluent English; Arabic an advantage
